The medical definition of weightloss is a decrease in body weight resulting from either voluntary (diet, exercise) or involuntary (illness) circumstances.

According to WHO, there are more than 1 billion overweight adults all over the world who pose a major risk for various chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke, and certain forms of cancer. Economic growth, modernization, urbanization and globalization of food markets are just some of the forces thought to underlie the global effect. These staggering numbers hint at the importance of weightloss.

Although weightloss is important, a clear distinction between unhealthy and healthy weightloss is essential. Unhealthy weightloss can cause health complications. Quick fix diet is a fast way to lose weight as they tend to cut certain foods out of the diet  which is certainly not good for you. Not only does this lack of food group affect our energy levels and other bodily functions, but once you introduce that food back into the diet your body will be confused and that is when the weight will come straight back on; tempting people to start another diet recipes and the process starts again.

Eat fresh vegetables. Avoid mixing proteins (meats) with starches (breads and potatoes). Eat lots of fresh fruits between meals and the best time to eat fruit is either 20 minutes before a meal or midway between meals as it helps regulate your blood sugar and diminish cravings. When you first feel a twinge of hunger, don’t reach for the regular sugary carbo snack; instead, reach for a 300 ml glass of clean purified water. This will suppress the feeling of hunger that’s often mistaken when the body really wants water anyway. At every meal time, stop eating when you are about 80% complete.  It takes the brain about 20 minutes to register food is on the way and this is a great way to control the serving size and still eat well. Eat five or six small meals or snacks a day instead of three large meals. When indulging on evil foods like desert, don’t try to eat them all!  Instead take 1 or 2 samples and really enjoy each without guilt. Limit animal protein consumption to not more than 4-5 servings per week Do not drink liquids with your meals. If you are thirsty, try to have a glass of clean water 10 minutes or so before the meal.  While you are eating, you want your body to be efficient at digesting the foods and absorbing the nutrients you are consuming. This also helps with natural body cleansing function & efficiency. Don’t wait till you’re starving to eat as this will only encourage binging.  Be sure to have a snack of veggies and a fruit with you between meals and drink water which will help avert feelings of starvation and cravings. I really need to lose 20 pounds asap, keep it off for once, want to do it healthy, with a detox effect, not just eat cabbage for weeks!

I get lots of emails about Acai Berry for weight loss, sounds healthy, but every review I read says Scam Alert, product doesn’t work, expensive, they suck up your money, keep billing you.

I’ve spent enuf cash on diets.

There’s a website I found googling weight-loss cleanses, http://www.nulean-acaiberrydiet.com also claims Acai doesn’t do much, has anyone tried Nulean????

I like the sound of it, but want some feedback.
