For someone who experience rapid weight loss and regain it in a short period of time is rather haunting. It frustrates majority of fitness buffs and weight loss seekers. Others are challenged to combine healthy diet, quick fat-burning routines and diet pills together so that rapid weight loss is attained.

It’s a given reality that people want to shed off fats as fast as possible. Regardless of what to do and how much to spend, they embrace many ways just to be shapely. You may be one of those who, despite reservations knocking your conscience, you try your luck with diet pills and hunger suppressants so that you can curb your appetite. It may not bother you to shell out hundreds of dollars because your expectations are high. You think that in a blink of an eye, you can have the **** figure you’ve always wanted.

Diet pills, hunger depressants and weight loss patches are those that actually assist many individuals in their weight loss programs. Apart from working out and eating healthily, they feed their bodies with fat burners and appetite suppressants that may hasten their way to lose pounds. Suppressing hunger deviates the natural bodily mechanism but it’s been found to be effective as one of the quick weight loss tips adhered by many.

Many supplements and pills are marketed to have been made out of natural and safe ingredients, which can either be true or just a hyping strategy. Being wary as to which supplementary medications to purchase will help you aware of any side effects which may surface later. These hunger depressants are supposed to drop the discomfort and pain brought by hunger. They also help you to suppress the craving of fattening food that will hurdle your way towards rapid weight loss.

There are particular weight loss supplements that can be addictive while there are some that may trigger palpitation and lead to mild strokes, depression, anxiety and stress. You should be avoiding yourself from getting these types if you’re really persistent in taking diet pills.

The convenient way of taking in hunger suppressants is a motivating factor why people use them. By just having them on hand and throwing them into your mouth followed by a glass of water, your craving is suppressed. That’s how quickly it’s undertaken. Results are apparent especially if you’ve picked the best capsule or tablet to match your consistency at the gym and discipline in following a low-fat diet. Hunger depressants that are proven and tested safe can help you achieve your rapid weight loss plans.

Welcome back!

Losing weight, particularly if you are seriously overweight or obese, can feel like an uphill struggle and having a good support network is essential if you are to reach your goal. It’s not just a case of losing x number of pounds – a complete change of lifestyle is necessary if you are to reach your ideal weight and maintain it. And this isn’t easy, given the hectic schedules that most of us are up against.

Cutting out junk food, eating a healthy, balanced diet and combining all that with sufficient exercise to ensure weight loss is tough and if you want to succeed long-term, you need support. But what if your family, friends and colleagues just aren’t supportive enough? It may be that they are just to busy to accompany you to the gym or on a weekend walk or that they don’t need to lose weight and so aren’t prepared to join in your healthy eating plan. Or it’s possible that you’ve been trying to shed the pounds for so long that they have become just as discouraged as you are.

Whatever the reason, you don’t have to go it alone. The internet has opened up a huge number of possibilities for people to connect with like-minded folk and there are many strong online communities which aim to support you as you lose weight and build a healthier, happier life.

The big advantage of an online support network is that everyone knows exactly what you are going through and how difficult it is to keep on track. Other dieters understand the constant battle to say no to sugary and fat-laden snacks and they won’t get tired of listening to you, because they need your support too. They know all about the lack of self-esteem and the guilt you experience after a midnight binge. And because the internet puts you in touch with people all over the globe, there is always someone online and so you are never alone, even if temptation strikes in the middle of the night.

Many online groups offer not only a forum, where you can find friendship and expert advice, but also resources such as diet sheets, exercise workouts and plenty of tips to keep you motivated.

So if you are finding it difficult to stick to your resolution to lose weight this year, give yourself a boost and find some support online.

Safely Using Laxatives For Weight Loss

November 24, 2009 by Admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Health And Fitness

One of the most popular methods for losing weight today involves using laxatives for weight loss. When people hear “laxatives,” many think of ****** or pills designed to help with constipation. The laxatives used for weight loss are very different, and while they are sometimes offered in pill form, they more frequently take the form of teas.

Occasionally these teas are not advertised as laxatives at all, but instead use deceptive names like “slimming tea” or “dieter’s tea.” Of course their active ingredients (aloe, buckthorn, cascara, castor oil, rhubarb, and senna) are almost always laxatives.

While these ingredients are natural, that is not a guarantee that they are always safe. This deceptive marketing can actually prove to be quite dangerous.

The idea when using laxatives for weight loss is to flush fatty substances out of the body before they can be digested and absorbed. Unfortunately, studies have shown that the quick-acting effect of laxatives does not significantly contribute to weight loss, as the laxative moves through the body too quickly to absorb calories.

Long-term use of laxatives for weight loss may be more successful, but ultimately may be very dangerous too. Even when you do not take a laxative with every meal, their cumulative effect on your body and more specifically on your digestive system may cause you to get prolonged diarrhea.

This condition may prevent your body from properly digesting food, thereby causing you to lose weight. Unfortunately it’s not a healthy weight loss and is considered by many doctors to be a form of starvation. This method is frequently used by both bulimics and anorexics and can lead to serious health issues.

The use of laxatives for weight loss is especially dangerous for women that are pregnant or are trying to get pregnant, as these products strip vital nutrients from the body.

Ongoing use of laxatives may even interrupt a woman’s regular menstrual cycle and affect her fertility. The use of laxatives with certain prescription drugs may also increase your risk of suffering from severe side effects because of the increased sensitivity in your stomach and intestines.

Laxatives in any form and taken for any significant duration of time may have side effects of their own including but not limited to: stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, loose stools, gas, dizziness, rectal bleeding, and severe dehydration. Ironically, prolonged use of laxatives may even cause constipation as your digestive system stops functioning correctly.

Instead of using laxatives for weight loss, consider other healthy alternatives. For example, there are many teas that can effectively be used as part of a diet plan because of their low calorie content and active ingredients that boost both your metabolism and energy level.

There are also diet pills and supplements (both natural and artificial) that can encourage your body to burn fat faster while still allowing your body to absorb and process the calories and nutrients that it needs. For information on diet products that are both safe and effective, consult with your physician.

Weight Loss Tips – Positive Attitude Adjustments for Weight Loss Success

Jenni Kerala asked:

If you want to be successful at weight loss, then you need to change the way you think about it. Having the right attitude is critical if you want to stick to a diet plan. So read on to learn a little more about the right attitude for weight loss success.

The first thing you need to realize that losing weight involves a lifestyle change and not just a diet. A diet will set you up for failure every time. Once your diet is over, then you will most likely gain all of your weight back again. So drop the attitude that you are on a diet. In fact, don’t ever call it a diet. Never tell your friends and family that you are dieting. Remove the word diet from your vocabulary altogether. You are making a lifestyle change that just happens to result in weight loss.

The next thing you have to realize is that you will have times when you feel like you failed. So you ate too many fattening foods at your friend’s dinner party. Big deal. This does not make you a failure. If just means that you gave into temptation. Just pick yourself back up and get back on track. Indulging does not mean that you failed. But many people will use it as an excuse to go back to their poor eating habits. Don’t be one of those people. Just brush it off, and continue working towards your goals.

Always think positive. Never tell yourself that you can’t do something. Remove all negative thoughts from your mind and do a little visualization each day. If you have a five pound reduction goal by the end of two weeks, visualize that five pounds gone. Think about how great you will feel when you are five pounds lighter. Don’t ever let self-defeat get you before you even get started.

Stay away from negative people. You know the ones I mean. These are the people that always see the bad side of everything. They constantly complain and are never happy about anything. These people will do nothing for you but bring you down. It is really hard to stay positive about anything when you around this type of person.

Most importantly, love yourself. You are a special person worthy of having everything life has to offer. Start taking good care of yourself by getting rid of all the bad habits that have brought you down for so long. Eat healthy and start exercising. Get plenty of sleep and try to remove as many stressors as possible from your life. Treat yourself once a week to a massage, ****** or some other small reward that will make you feel great about yourself.

To be successful in weight loss, you have to change your attitude. Never use the word diet and start thinking positive. Take care of yourself and you will find that making a lifestyle change is not that hard after all.

Does Milk Really Help With Weight Loss?

So you think that milk is good for your body? If yes then you really need to read this article in its entirety. Far too many people believe like you, and I cannot blame anybody for this because dairy farmers are responsible for all these. They claim that milk will help strengthen your bones because of the presence of calcium in it. They also claim that milk will give you such energy boost that you will feel like a superman. Obviously, they want you to believe this way so that they can cash in on your gullibility. However, just as some other myths are doing the rounds of the weight loss industry, this is also a myth.

1. As a matter of fact, the milk you purchase from your local store is not pure milk: it has been processed with the help of pasteurization, meaning that it has been boiled at a temperature of 160 centigrade and then cooled down. Milk is pasteurized in order to kill any and all the germs present in the raw milk. On the flip side, pasteurization not only kills the germs, but also the beneficial nutrients present in it. Enzymes such as lipase and phosphates can be a lot beneficial to your body, but you don’t get those enzymes in the pasteurized milk that you purchase from your local shop.

That is not however the end of the story. Pasteurization also kills antibodies such as immunoglobulin that is present in raw milk. Immunoglobulin helps to immune your body against various diseases. As you can see, milk is in no way beneficial for you, at least not the one that comes in sealed packets.

After pasteurization is completed, the milk is homogenized to keep the cream at the bottom. Once this is done, several synthetic vitamins are added to it in order to make it ‘nutritious’. However, remember that synthetic vitamins are not and can never be substitutes for natural vitamins. They are man-made chemicals and will do more harm than good to your body.

2. Milk causes weight gain: Contrary to what you might believe, milk will actually make you gain weight rather than lose it. If you are in the habit of drinking milk frequently, it is not surprising that you have become overweight. As you drink more and more milk, you will gain more and more weight.

3. Milk causes a host of other diseases: Besides weight gain, there are a lot of harmful side effects of drinking milk, such as skin allergies, cancer, acne, arthritis, constipation, etc.

Do you still want to drink milk? I hope not.

It seems that children these days eat more junk food and exercise less which leads to chubby kids. Helping your child lose weight can be a challenge. Follow these weight loss for children tips.

1. Insist they have a healthy breakfast: a combination of protein, fruit, and a carbohydrate. The breakfast doesn’t have to be fancy. Peanut butter on toast topped with apple slices with a glass of milk will start their day off right. Another alternative would be a hard boiled egg and fruit smoothie, made with fresh fruit, and half an English muffin.

If your child insists they don’t have time for breakfast, make the meal the night before and leave in the fridge to grab and go. You kid doesn’t like breakfast food? Well breakfast doesn’t have to be bacon, eggs, and hash browns. A slice of pizza will do just fine if it’s heavy on the tomato sauce and light on the cheese.

2. Use single portion healthy snacks and have them conveniently available. Non salted pretzels, low sodium saltine crackers, carrot sticks, single size servings of low fat cottage cheese all make energy filled snacks. The problem is when the child eats nearly a box of pretzels. Prepackaged single serving portions help avoid that. Package the servings yourself in zip lock baggies to save on money.

Throw out all the unhealthy high fat, high sugar snacks. No one in the family really needs them anyway. If they aren’t in the house your child won’t be reminded of them and probably won’t miss them. If you just have to have your chips, put them in the back of the freezer. They won’t tempt your little ones and they’ll defrost quickly.

The high energy drinks popular with kids now should be a no no if your child is on a weight loss program. They’re full of sugar which means calories and sometimes caffeine which kids don’t need. Substitute plain bottled water. Go easy on the diet drinks. The artificial sweetener can cause digestive problems. Juice is healthy but full of sugar. Dilute the juice half and half with water and return to the container. Your child won’t even notice.

Cut out full fat milk and use skim. If your child balks, use the juice trick. Dilute the full fat milk with 2% milk. Gradually decrease the full fat milk and increase the 2% until the milk is only 2%. Do the same thing using half 2% milk and half 1% milk. And again substituting skim nonfat milk for 50% of the 1% milk. Ina few weeks your child will have painlessly switched over to skim milk.

3. Cut out fast food as much as possible. The tendency is to eat too much too quickly. Fast food is loaded with fat and salt. If the rest of the family is having burgers and fries order your child’s with only mustard and ketchup, no mayo, add extra tomatoes and lettuce to bulk up the burger. Substitute a small salad with just a smidge of dressing or apple slices instead of the fries. Chicken is an even better selection as long as it’s not fried.

What the child drinks counts in their daily calorie intake. Avoid soft drinks. Offer plain or flavored waters instead.

Most important beyond any weight loss for children tip is to not make your child feel different because they are on a weight loss program. No one likes to feel deprived or left out, especially children. Revamp your family meals to be low fat but tasty, everyone will benefit.

To lose 5 pounds in a week, you need to develop a consistent approach to weight loss. The objective of your weight loss plan is to reduce the overall fat in your body, thus giving you a leaner stomach and slimmer waist line.

A consistent weight loss plan requires your focus, dedication and discipline. These 3 elements are extremely important if you want to see promising results in a week. Therefore, what you need to do now is to prepare both your mind and body, and get ready for action. When you start any weight loss program, it is advisable to stay positive to work for results. If you are the type who gets impatient easily, you will tend to give up too soon.

Before we touch on the weekly plan, let me remind you that you need to stretch and warm your body up before any exercises. Before you set out to work out your muscles, a little stretching is needed in order to prevent you from getting any injury. If you feel that you have gone way beyond your limit, stop immediately. Everything should be done in moderation and you should find the right level of exercise that suits you. Now having said this, let us get on to the weekly weight loss program.

1. First day. For the first day, take a long and steady walk for at least 3 minutes. Remember to do some stretching before and after the walk. This simple exercise will take up very little of your time for the day. With less than an hour, you have taken a good first step to an effective weight loss program.

2. Second day. On the second day, you need to do exercise that focus on your upper body. By building up your upper body strength, it will help you to go through the whole program for the week. Good upper body exercise includes push-ups, and lifting weights which focus on biceps, triceps, and shoulders.

3. Third day. For the third day, you will jog for at least 20 minutes. Do not be too worried about how fast you run. The objective here is do slow jog for at least 20 minutes, and if you need to jog really slowly, do it. Then, perform some lower body workout in the evenings.

4. Fourth day. Have a good rest! Stretch frequently on this day and use this rest day wisely to sort out any negative thoughts in your mind. No junk food!

5. Fifth day. Start the fifth day with a good 15 minutes walk. Then exercise your lower body in four sessions of workouts, follow this up with another 15 minute walk, and another four sessions of lower body workout.

6. Sixth day. This is a good day to do some sports such as badminton or football. Just be careful not to injure yourself. If you want to do some low impact exercise, swimming is a good choice.

7. Last day. The last day of the week is a time for you to solicit the support of the people you care about. Have them to enjoy a brisk walk in the park. With their support, you will be able to stay positive to your goal of slimming down.

If by the first week you are able to stick to your weight loss plan, you stand a good chance to achieve your weight loss objective. Patience is a virtue. As long as you stay dedicated and focused on your weight loss plan weekly, you will soon be able to dress confidently again without the embarrassment of having a protruding tummy.
